Alaskan Salmon Oil Supplement

Anyone else give their cats salmon oil? Or is that a reason not to?

I'm looking to give my two spayed females 16 years old. I would be giving human wild Alaskan salmon oil capsules. (Probably not eat it willingly) Tabitha is completely healthy and 10.4 pounds Tigger is very healthy and much, except that she has mild arthritis (which does not take meds for it) and once had urinary problems, but all is well after changing Uremic supplemented with Wysong tempered by the nature of wet organic food. She is also a little overweight, but I managed to lose it verrrry slooooowly 4 pounds already (now 12.6) and working in the last two. So you should be fine? What dose should I use? I had not thought of that because when I was being canned foods I tried to avoid fish as a rule, but I had plenty of choice on Wysong unless you wanted to feed science diet urinary not going to happen lol

Agreement over fish can be harmful to cats. If you feed fish food to fish oil now is not really necessary and is probably enough. However, if their food is fish meal as an ingredient of a good size, you can try a smaller dose and if you notice any negative side effects continue. For capsules, they may explode and squeeze it into his food. Most cats have no problems with it that way.
