Salmon Oil Research

prey model: Need supplements?
For those practices for food prey model, which will supplement his dogs with any type of vitamins, iron, etc? I heard in most people fish oil supplement for dogs. Read the wiki, the research provided information taking advantage of the model diet can sometimes lead to a lack of taurine, vitamin E, abnormal ratios of calcium – phosphorus, etc. Well, my mom was very aware itself on this as we are in the model of prey diet Kotzen and will be for the new puppy that we bought Vitamin E / B and Zinc and salmon oil supplement. Thanks for your responses. I just need to know if you do complete or not.
The thing about any diet prepared at home is that you really do not know if you need to supplement or not, since they are not (in general) for their food tested to see what is in them. Large commercial companies can get their food tested and ensure that minimum standards of the meeting. You're not doing that. You are confident in their choices as to what you are feeding to ensure that is making a balanced diet. I'm not saying that your diet is not (or not) of a smooth (ie, that supplementation would not be a problem), only you have no way of knowing whether or not. Straight supplementation is not the answer either, as contrary to what you might think, but not necessarily better. Zinc has a maximum daily allowance, vitamin E also has a maximum allocation. (B vitamins are soluble in water, usually just get peed out if more than supplement). Excess Omega-3 (as salmon oil) can lead to a number of problems (including coagulation disorders). In summary, you can need to complete … maybe not. It may also be more complete. Just do not know. My suggestion — find out the average nutrient content in what you are food (there are tables around), and compare it with any of AAFCO, or the guidelines of the NRC. Then take the decision to complete or not.

Alaskan Salmon Oil (16oz) $17.24 Alaskan Salmon Oil is for Healthy Skin & coat. It supplies a range of different omega-3 fatty acids, including the long chain Omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA. The health condition of your dog or cat’s skin and coat is influenced by the contents and balance of fatty acids in the diet. The ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acids in the diet of your dog or cat is important in order to avoid degenerative conditions like hot spots, a dull coat and inflamed, dry and itchy skin. Scientific research supports the optimum ratio of fatty acids in the range of 1:3 to 1:6 (omega-3:omega-6). The omega-3 fatty acids also help counteract negative effects of allergic dermatitis by producing specific eicosanoids, which are known to reduce and control skin inflammations. Regular use of Alaskan Salmon Oil attributes to a lustrous, shiny coat and gives your dog or cat the appearance of overall good health. |
