Vitamin E Joint Pain
Healing Pyrenees with raw diet and vitamins?
Hi all, My pyr was paralyzed for Christmas and I thought I would have to be slaughtered, and connects him raw food. His recovery has been amazing, and now fight our puppy in the yard. I've been supplementing their diet with fish oil, aspirin at low doses (for pain of the joints), and vitamins C and E, both human adult dose 1000 mg and 1000IU. I give these every two days, but I'm a little wary of E, since it is soluble in fat. He weighs 130 pounds. I gave him the daily fee at first and then supported him until the last day to another, just for fear of giving too. I have read the online information management and everything is very inconsistent, so plz no links unless very precise information. Everything you write the prologue to this question: Should supplements be given 1000IU daily? Alternate days? Bi-weekly?
1000iu and 1000 mg seems very high. The recipe I use calls only E 400iu that batch of food (which lasts 2 or 3 days) and the mix of uses 1000 mg vitamin C per batch and it lasts about 2 weeks. You may want to put this in Dog section.
